Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are covering up for the lost years by toying with the minds of its fans. First they retained MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja in the squad. CSK saw the return of their mainstay batter Michael Hussey back in the camp as batting coach. Lakshmipathy Balaji, too, was back in CSK as bowling coach. Now the fans will continue to witness the bond between Stephen Fleming  and Dhoni for another year, this time for CSK. Fleming is back to the base as he has been appointed the head coach of CSK.

Fleming has been associated with CSK since the inception of IPL. He first started off playing for CSK in 2008. In the next year, he took up the coaching duties and stuck with the franchise until they were banned for the years 2016 and 2017. During that time frame, Fleming was named the head coach of new franchise Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS).

On the new developments, CSK CEO, K S Vishwanath said, “We like to retain the core team because of which we are retaining the entire support staff, with Fleming as the head coach and Hussey as the batting coach and Balaji, the local boy, as bowling coach,” as quoted on cricbuzz.

CSK have also retained the other core support staff, trainer Gregory King and physio Tommy Simseck.
