Where it was second heartbreaking defeat for MI in a row, it was a straight win for SRH in their den. SRH stamped their authority with their openers Shikhar Dhawan and Wriddhiman Saha providing a flying start. But once against it was MI’s new found bowlers Mayank Markande who twisted the tale in the middle. It was pity that Markande’s figures of 4-0-23-4 went in vain just like the Chennai game.

For SRH it was Deepak Hooda’s calm and composed innings that helped his side bounce back. Jasprit Bumrah had his moments in the penultimate over, but the Australian Billy Stanlake finished off in style. Here is how the MI and SRH players fared after Match 7 of 2018 IPL:

MI have their bowling unit in place. However, it is their batting that would need tinkering when they take on DD on Saturday. As for SRH, they need to refocus on their batting unit and erratic fielding when they take on KKR on Saturday.
