For a major part of the good old 2000s, stumped MS Dhoni and bowled Harbhajan Singh was a common phenomenon in Indian cricket. Dhoni and Harbhajan have been two top match-winners for India and now they find themselves sharing the dressing room once again, this time for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2018.

During a chat session with India Today, Harbhajan praised Dhoni as one of the “top leaders”, who has led India and CSK to many laurels. He also expects Dhoni, the batsman to step up and score more for the yellow brigade.

“He has been one of the top leaders whether it is for India or in the IPL. He has led in six finals in the IPL which is a big story. Coming to his own, he must be looking forward to get some runs under his belt. He hasn’t scored a lot of runs for India off late. He has not been getting enough chances to bat as well,” Harbhajan said before adding, “I hope our captain will score a lot of runs with the bat and we will do the needful with the ball.”

After 10 seasons with Mumbai Indians (MI), Harbhajan will be swapping his jersey colours for the first time in IPL. He has moved to the arch-rival CSK camp and co-incidentally, he will start the campaign against MI in the IPL 2018 opener at Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
