The Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their opening game against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Vivo IPL 2018. RCB posted a total of 176 bating first but were overdone by Sunil Narine‘s 50 off 19 balls. Narine provided a power start to KKR with the middle order doing the rest. Virat Kohli who came to bat one down scored 31 off 33 as he never found momentum. However, when it comes to M.Chinnaswamy Stadium he has an amazing record. In 2016 seasion he smashed three off his four centuries at home. RCB through their tweeter account has shared a video of Kohli training ahead of the first game with caption ‘When the captain isn’t taking knock downs or catch-ins, he’s busy setting records and orchestrating victory plans!’

Just before the start of IPL Kohli had expressed his feelings about how desperate he wants to win the tittle. It has been 10 years since he has been with Bangalore but the franchise is still to win the IPL title. The opening game at home could be a changer for Kohli and help RCB get into the winning momentum.
