His 3,000th IPL run came in his 155th match, playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Mumbai Indians (MI). Yusuf has so far scored 3,000 runs at average of 30 at an impressive strike-rate of 146. He also has a hundred and 13 half-centuries. He became the 10th Indian to cross 3,000-run IPL barrier. Suresh Raina leads the tally with 4,658 IPL runs, followed by Virat Kohli (4,649), Rohit Sharma (4,345), Gautam Gambhir (4,217), Robin Uthappa (3,940), MS Dhoni (3,700), Shikhar Dhawan (3,696 during the match), Ajinkya Rahane (3,217) and Dinesh Karthik (3,097). Of them, Yusuf has the best strike rate but the third-worst average.
Yusuf started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals (RR), then moving on to Kolkata Knight Riders. He has won three IPL titles a a player, one with RR and 2 with KKR. His is also the first player to go 3,000 runs and 30+ wickets in IPL.
