Chennai Super Kings (CSK),who have been the most consistent and successful team of the Indian Premier League (IPL) so far, retained all five players going into the IPL 7 Auction.

Having retained the services of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Dwayne Bravo, CSK surprised many by selecting the ageing Ashish Nehra.

But they also bought Brendon McCullum and bought back Faf du Plessis, which seemed very logical decisions. They also bought Samuel Badree, the economical spinner from the West Indies.

Overall, they still look the same strong unit, but maybe lack a strike bowler.
