Kings XI Punjab had entered the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 auction with two retainings, in the form of big-hitting David Miller and opener Manan Vohra.

Ant the end of Day One of the auction, they were branded as one of the smartest franchises so far. They made two huge buys in the form of Mitchell Johnson and George Bailey. They also bought Virender Sehwag, who if fires, can make their batting order look a different machine altogether.

Cheteshwar Pujara could turn out to be the dark horse, but them going bonkers for Parwinder Awana was tough to understand.

They still have a lot of money going into the second day, and they would like to fill the void of a strike bowler, alongside Johnson.
