Kolkata Knight Riders, alike Kings XI Punjab, had retained two of their stars; Gautam Gambhir and Sunil Narine, going into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 auction and ended Day One with good amount of money still left in the purse, and bought smartly.

While going for Piyush Chawla and Yusuf Pathan seemed absurd to say the least, buying back Jacques Kallis seemed a good deal, and acquiring the services of Morne Morkel was the icing on the cake.

From what it looks like, they will employ Robin Uthappa as the wicketkeeper, but they still lack a solid T20 middle-order bat.

It looks like a well-rounded attack, with emphasis being put on the bowling department.

Following are the players bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2014 Auction on Day Two —
