Royal Challengers Bangalore entered the Indian Premier League (IPL) 7 auction having retained three of their biggest stars – Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and of course, the swashbuckling Chris Gayle.

And on Day One, they made the biggest buy of the IPL 7 Auction so far – Yuvraj Singh for Rs 14 crores.

They also bought veteran Muttiah Muralitharan for Rs 1 crore. The legend may be beyond his prime, yet he remains a mystery to many batsmen. Going for Nic Maddinson was a surprise, but Mitchell Starc could prove to be a valuable addition.

Overall, their bowling still looks a little unpolished.
