With eight days to go for the first Indian Premier League (IPL) 7 game in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), tickets have been sold at a brisk pace six days after it was opened.

The 100,000th ticket was sold, a mere six days since online sales commenced. 12,500 tickets were purchased yesterday — on the first day of the box-office and outlet sales.

The most sought-after games are the two double-headers in Dubai — on April 19 and April 25 respectively. Tickets for the other matches are also being purchased at a brisk pace, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a release.

The fans are advised to purchase their tickets as soon as they can to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are available in different denominations. The minimum price for the Abu Dhabi matches is AED 20 for a single match, and AED 30 for double-headers.

In Dubai, a ticket for one match starts at AED 30, and AED 50 for double-headers. In Sharjah, tickets start at UED30 for a single match, and AED 40 for the double-headers.

Tickets can be purchased at the three stadia, Lulu Hypermarkets outlets in the three cities and online (www.iplt20.com or www.ticketmaster.ae).
