A few days ago, Indian Premier League (IPL) Champions Mumbai Indians‘ skipper Rohit Sharma received a custom-made WWE championship belt, with their batch on it, from WWE COO Triple H. Now, Mumbai Indians have extended the favour by gifting WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal a custom-made jersey. In a video posted by the WWE India Twitter handle, the WWE Champion is seen wearing the Mumbai Indians jersey with number 5 and his name printed on the back.

Mahal said: “Hello India, this is your WWE champion Jinder Mahal and I want to send a big thank you to the Mumbai Indians for sending me this custom jersey with my name on it. And I will wear it with pride.” The Modern day Maharaja signed off by chanting the slogan of the Paltans, “Cricket Meri Jaan” which translates to “Cricket is my life.”

Other than Mumbai Indians, the WWE has previously gifted NBA champs Golden State Warriors and Premier League winners Chelsea a similar gift with customised plates. It is evident that WWE is keen to expand their reach all over the world and such kind of gestures will surely enhance its reputation.
