Ireland were bowled out for 202 in their 50 overs in the only One-Day International (ODI) in Jamaica against hosts West Indies, led by tidy bowling by Jason Holder.
The West Indies bowlers were on target, led by skipper Dwayne Bravo, whose West Indian team desperately needs a good run of form after their miserable tour of New Zealand. Gary Wilson played a patient and a steady 62 but he did not get the right kind of support from the middle order to get a big score. Stuart Thomson played a well crafted 33 towards the end of the innings.
Holder though bowled a tight line and troubled the Irish batting no end. Darren Sammy and Nikita Miller too were amongst the wickets and Dwayne Bravo’s crafty medium pacers were enough to bowl out the Irishman for a modest 202 in the last over of the innings.
Brief scores:
Ireland 202 in 49.5 overs (William Porterfield 25, Gary Wilson 62, Stuart Thomson 33; Jason Holder 3 for 34, Dwayne Bravo 3 for 36) vs West Indies.
