Irfan Pathan joins Narendra Modi in his election campaign

India all-rounder Irfan Pathan joined Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at his election rally in Kheda to campaign for the upcoming state polls which starts on December 13.
Pathan plays for Vadodara in the Ranji Trophy and is out of playing cricket due to an injury. He shared the stage with Modi and boosting the party’s campaign, reports NDTV.
Modi, is promoting for a third consecutive term in power. However, he has been severely accused by activists and political rivals of promoting against minorities. The state faced communal riots in 2002, under his term, killing over 1,000 people, mostly Muslims.
Pathan has been sidelined with a knee injury but believes he will come back stronger.
Pathan shot to fame on the world stage during India U- 19′s tour of Pakistan, where he was named player of the tournament after taking 18 wickets.
He was last seen playing for Delhi Daredevils in the Champions League in South Africa.
