Ishant Sharma, who was the hero of India’s victory against England at Lord’s, has successfully recovered from his injury and is likely to play at The Oval.

Ishant, who had taken seven wickets in the second innings of the second Test match at Lord’s, was sorely missed by his team as India lost the consequent two matches. Sharma was replaced by Pankaj Singh, who failed to pick many wickets.

In Ishant’s absence, England won the third Test by 266 runs and the fourth Test by an innings and 54 runs.
