Former India captain Kapil Dev was left awe-struck by England pacer James Anderson during the third Test at Southampton.

“What a bowler he is. Every time he comes he looks like taking wickets. He is just a fantastic bowler,” Dev was quoted as saying by MiD-DAY.

“I am very happy that he will become the No 1 England bowler soon. He is a compete package. He has everything: speed, a smooth run-up, and every other quality. He uses the crease very nicely. He can give the ball a lift. He swings the ball both ways. He has an effective bouncer, superb slower ones. What more could one ask for?”

On Thursday, part-time spinner Moeen Ali registered his maiden six-wicket haul, as England handed India a crushing 266-run defeat. The five-match series is now levelled at 1-1. India were all out for 178 in second innings on the final day.  England registered their first victory since their victory against Australia at Durham last August.
