James Vince’s healthy 46 propels England to 154 against Pakistan in 3rd T20I at Sharjah

England opener James Vince batted strongly as he scored a healthy 46 and allowed England to post an average total of 154 in the third and final Twenty20 International (T20I) against Pakistan at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium on Monday. Shahid Afridi and Sohail Tanvir claimed a wicket each for Pakistan. Earlier, England skipper Eoin Morgan win the toss and elected to bat first as he dropped Reece Topley, Stephen Parry, Alex Hales and Liam Plunkett, thus bringing in Moeen Ali, Chris Jordan and himself. Pakistan skipper, Shahid Afridi, on the other hand, made three cvhanges as he brought Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rizwan and debutant Aamer Yamin. England were off to a sloppy start as they lost Jason Roy off the very first ball of the game, with Yamin earning his first wicket of his debut ball. However, it was followed by a helathy 48-run stand between opener James Vince and Joe Root. While Root looked to be in a punishing mood, he fell at the score of 32 to Afridi, who bowled him up. Vince and Morgan put up 20 runs more before the skipper fell for 15 to Shoaib Malik, who bowled him up in his very first delivery of the match in the 10th over at the score of 68. Following his wicket, there was hardly any partnership for the nex couple of wickets as soon, Jos Buttler was unfortunately run out for a couple, while Sam Billings was brilliantly taken by Umar Akmal off Anwar Ali.

It was then the pair of Vince and Chris Woakes, who put up a convincing 50-run stand for the seventh wicket, before Wokes was dismissed for an impressive 37 in the final over by Sohail Tanvir, as the partnership was worth 60 runs. He was then followed by James Vince, who stay aput to score 46 and going for the big shot, missed his half-century by just four runs. It was the final pair of David Willey and Chris Jordan who were at the crease as England posted an average total of 154.
