One of India’s most beloved women’s cricketers, Jhulan Goswami  has been honoured for her contribution to the game. She became the first women player to feature on an Indian postal stamp on Friday during a launch in Kolkata.  According to cricbuzz, the stamp was unveiled at the Calcutta Sports Journalists’ club. Former India captain and CAB President Sourav Ganguly attended the launch as well. Jhulan during India Women’s tour of South Africa became the first female player to scalp 200 ODI wickets. Laura Wolvaardt became Jhulan’s 200th victim, while her first victim was Caroline Atkins way back in 2002.
