Jhulan Goswami became the first women cricketer in the history to scalp 200 ODI wickets. She achieved this feat by dismissing Laura Wolvaardt for 9 during the second ODI between India Women and South Africa Women. In the first ODI, Jhulan secured a significant feat by becoming the first woman to the 1,000 run-150 wicket double. She was on 195 before entering this series, and took 4 wickets in the first ODI to take her wicket tally to 199. During the South Africa quadrangular series last year, Jhulan had surpassed Cathryn Fitzpatrick to become the highest wicket-taker in women’s ODI history. She had taken her 181st wicket by trapping Raisibe Ntozakhe. She currently is second in the bowlers ranking. The first position is held by Marizanne Kapp. She also holds the world record for most catches by an outfielder.
