England have announced their 14-man T20I squad against Australia  and India. The squad misses out big names like Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes due to injuries. However, Joe Root has made it back to the side after September 2017. England are having a good run in the limited-overs formats for now against the Australians, and will want to keep the winning streak in the shortest format as well.

Root had opted out of the T20Is earlier this year to wait for the IPL 2018 auction. Unfortunately, he went unsold. Root came into the squad for Dawid Malan, who was in impressive form, striking 3 half-centuries in 4 innings. Mark Wood has been rested for the series keeping in mind the ODI series England are scheduled to play against India starting July 12. Stokes may also be included in the ODI squad depending on the progress on his recovery.
