England batsman Jonathan Trott became the latest cricketer get drenched in a ice-cold water when he accepted the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ and posted a video of himself performing the act on his official Facebook account.
The South Africa-born cricketer, who plays for Warwickshire in domestic capacity, accepted the challenge from his county teammate Jim Troughton. He has now passed the challenge to fellow Warwickshire players Ian Westwood, England team psychologist Mark Bawden and New Zealand off-spinner Jeetan Patel.
The act, which has gone viral all over the world now, has taken India by storm too. Sports celebrities such as Sania Mirza, Rohan Bopanna, Ashwini Ponappa, Mahesh Bhupathi as famous faces from Bollywood such as Rahul Bose, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Hansika Motwani, etc. Other cricketers such as Chris Gayle, Justin Langer, Darren Sammy, Kevin Pietersen have accepted the challenge as well.
