Jos Buttler has been hitting bowlers out of the park in the ongoing 5-ODI series between England and Australia. He struck a belligerent 100* from 83 balls to hand England a 3-0 series win down under. Former England captain, Michael Vaughan has complimented Buttler following the latter’s slowest ODI hundred at Sydney.

Speaking to BT Sports, Vaughan said: “Buttler’s done this before for England. I remember in Dubai against Pakistan he just exploded from 50 to 100.He just got the gift, hasn’t he. I don’t there’s a better middle order batsman in world white-ball cricket.”

He further went on to say that Buttler is better than Indian wicket-keeper MS Dhoni. He said: “The Indians will go nuts because they’ll say ‘there’s MS Dhoni’. Well, I think Buttler’s just gone ahead of MS Dhoni  because of his approach and because of the power he brings.”

Buttler has, so far, played 102 ODIs for England, and has amassed 2,651 runs at 38.42 with an impressive average of 117.87. Dhoni, on the other hand has represented India in 312 ODIs, accumulated 9,898 runs at 51.55 with a strike-rate of 88.46.
