Jos Buttler and Joe Root are building England’s score after tea on Day Two of the fifth Test against India at The Oval. After a tough afternoon session, England have recovered thanks to Root and Buttler who have scored runs at a decent rate. Though they may have had the odd ball that troubled them, they have so far batted very well.
Root has played some remarkable shots through the off-side and has peppered it with a few boundaries. India need Ishant Sharma and Varun Aaron to make a mark for there is some hope if India can bowl England out cheaply.
However, the fact that India were bowled out for 148 doesn’t help their cause and that may cost them. It has been a good match for england and they look very good to go and seal the series.
