Jean Paul Duminy has now crossed the coveted 1000-run mark in his six year long international career. The middle-order batsman reached the milestone while batting during South Africa’s first innings against Australia in the second Test at Port Elizabeth.

Duminy has played 23 Tests to reach the landmark, and has two hundreds to his name.

Duminy is currently batting close to another hundred, and if he can reach the three-figure mark, then it will stand out as a great innings.

Duminy had joined AB de Villiers on Day One when South Africa were tottering at 200 for the loss of five wickets. He and de Villiers then strung a 149-run partnership to bail South Africa out of trouble, and propel them to a strong position.
