In the 28th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014, Delhi Daredevils were 136 for five thanks to some power hitting by Kedar Jadhav down the order. After pegging Delhi back in the middle overs, some big hits were the need of the hour and in came Sunil Narine. Narine had Laxmi Ratan Shulka at sea before cleaning him up with a superb off spinner that rattled the West Bengal captain’s stumps. He had made a laboured 10 off 14 balls.
Kedar Jadhav came to the crease and cut Vinay Kumar through the gap and came down the track of a slow ball and smacked a monstrous hit that went out of the Kotla. Duminy soon got on the act and swept Narine for a terrific six. Jadhav was beaten by Narine’s turn but the ball went above short-third man for a boundary. Jadhav then nudged the ball fine to get another boundary .
Earlier, Delhi had won the toss and elected to bat first at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Kolkata made a change to their side as Jacques Kallis returned to the side in place of Andre Russell. Delhi have made a change as well as Siddharth Kaul in place of Jaydev Unadkat.
