Two former South African captains will be in Sri Lanka for commentary duties in the series between the two teams which begins this week. According to highly placed sources in South Africa and Sri Lanka, Sony Pictures Network has hired the services of Kepler Wessels and Shaun Pollock along with the Zimbabwean Mpumelelo Mbangwa (now living in South Africa) as visiting commentators. Sony Pictures Network has also engaged Sri Lanka’s popular commentators Russel Arnold and Roshan Abeysinghe for the series.

Daily Mirror Sri Lanka also reported that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is yet to announce the team manager for the series against South Africa. 1996 World Cup-winning member Asanka Gurusinha has finished his tenure as manager and is now working with the High Performance Unit. His services will also be utilised for the ICC hearing on ball-tampering on July 10.

The first Test between South Africa and Sri Lanka between begins in Galle on July 12.
