In recent times, there have been reports that all is not well between England star batsman Kevin Pietersen and the team director, Andy Flower. Even Alastair Cook, the man who wanted Pietersen to be picked for the tour of India last year didn’t publicly support him during a press conference recently.

Now, The Sydney Morning Herald reports that there was a heated discussion between Cook and Pietersen before the final Test of the Ashes series, “Pietersen and Alastair Cook were involved in a ‘heated’ discussion at the SCG on the eve of the fifth Test.

“The conversation took place in the SCG members bar, The Tonk has been told, and both men were said to be making very animated hand gestures.

The report concluded by saying, “There have been reports suggesting Pietersen and the captain do not see eye to eye. Earlier this week, Cook repeatedly refused to publicly endorse Pietersen, casting further doubt over his international future. Pietersen is also at odds with England coach Flower.”
