West Indies batsman Kieron Pollard will make a return to first class cricket after being out of action for nearly six months with a knee injury.

Pollard has been picked in the Trinidad and Tobago (T and T) squad which will face Combined Campuses and Colleges at the the Queen’s Park Oval in the Regional Four-Day Championship.

The right-handed batsman last played in the Champions League Twenty20 in India in October but has been sidelined since, missing the West Indies tours of India and New Zealand.

He also missed the Caribbean Super50 as well as the current World Twenty20 in Bangladesh. News of his return will be welcomed by the West Indies who host New Zealand and Bangladesh June onwards.

Pollard turned out for club side at Queen’s Park in the Premier Division and blasted an unbeaten 44 Wednesday to help Queen’s Park to victory in the T20 competition.

He is one of two changes to the T&T side with experienced off-spinner Amit Jaggernauth also joining in.
