Virender Sehwag showed intentions of getting back to form in the ninth match for Kings XI Punjab against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL) 7. Cheteshwar Pujara though was struggling to get things away.
Despite things not quite working out in the previous match, Punjab persisted with Sehwag and Pujara to see off the powerplay overs before the big-hitting middle-order can come on and create ripples, as they have done in the tournament so far. Dale Steyn’s first over was fast and furious and Sehwag had to take rearguard action against the legendary South African pacer. Just two runs came of the first over.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar went one better than Steyn. Sehwag took a single of the first ball and with his crafty outswingers, Bhuvaneshwar had Pujara in a tangle and stifled India’s number three to five dot balls. Irfan Pathan’s third over started steadily but Sehwag turned back the the clock with a four and a six of the leg-side and a four down the ground of Pathan.
