Harshal Patel snared the wicket of Mandeep and Sehwag gout to Yuzvendra Chahal the leg-spinner. Sehwag perhaps cold have stayed at the crease for a little longer, but here is one batsman who likes to go after the spinners. But Punjab needn’t have to worry much, as Glenn Maxwell the star performer for them is at present batting at the crease. Maxwell showed his class by smashing Yuvraj Singh for a six down the ground. He followed it up with another six. He smashed 19 runs off that Yuvraj’s over. He though, was dismissed by Chahal for 25 off 11 balls. Punjab made a good start to their innings. It was Virender Sehwag, swashbuckling opener who started the boundary count with a flick shot. He was at his best when he smashed Albie Morkel for a boundary. It was a trademark square cut from Sehwag. He also thwacked Harshal Patel over Mid off for a boundary. His young partner, Mandeep Singh wasn’t to be left behind, as he too played a fine shot or two off Mitchell Starc, the left-arm swing bowler from Australia.
