Former India wicketkeeper and national selector Kiran More has heaped praise on Yuvraj Singh. More said Yuvraj is a proven match-winner and will always be for India or whichever team he plays.

“From the day he started playing for India, he has been a match-winner and I am sure it will continue to be that way till he plays competitive cricket,” said More as reported by Times of India.

“He’s gone through a lot in recent times but there’s still a lot of cricket left in him.”

Yuvraj has left out of India’s Asia Cup 2014 squad. But the selectors showed faith in him by naming him in the squad for the ICC World T20 2014 in Bangladesh.

The left-hander has generally been out of form in recent series and it was evident in India’s seven-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia in 2013. He was later dropped after India’s 2-0 defeat to South Africa away in another ODI series.

But India as a team have failed to impress in the subsequent series against New Zealand and in the Asia Cup. The selection panel headed by Sandeep Patil would be hoping Yuvraj’s inclusion would bring about a change in the team’s current flailing fortunes and also his own.

The ICC World T20 2014 proper commences on March 16 and the final will be on April 6.
