Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have crashed out of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 after Mumbai Indians (MI) thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 56 at Hyderabad. KKR end their campaign with 15 points from 14 matches, which was not enough to qualify to the playoffs and defend the title they won last season. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals are the other other three teams who have qualified for the last four stage of IPL 2015.
The Gautam Gambhir-led team lost quite a few close game this season and that cost them big time. Especially the defeat against Mumbai hurt them the most. Robin Uthappa is KKR’s leading run-scorer with 364 runs in this season. Andre Russell was their leading wicket taker with 14 wickets. They will look to comeback stronger next season and look to reclaim their crown.
