The coach of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Big Bash League (BBL) team Sydney Sixers, Trevor Bayliss is likely to take up the job of coaching England.  According to a report published in UK Telegraph, Bayliss has been offered the England coach’s job and is set to give the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) an answer over the next 24 hours.

As a coach, Bayliss has a well decorated career. He has an excellent record with Sydney Sixers and KKR. Both teams won the championship under him. Infact KKR won IPL twice under Bayliss. He is also the current coach of New South Wales (NSW). He coached NSW to a Sheffield Shield (Australia’s premier domestic tournament) title.

In international cricket, he coached Sri Lanka alongside the current England assistant coach Paul Farbrace. Both were on the Sri Lankan team bus when it was attacked by terrorists in Pakistan in 2009. Under him Sri Lanka reached the final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. So at this moment it seems Bayliss can be a good option for England.
