Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pick former Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mahmood and South African off spinner Johan Botha in their squad for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015. They will replace Chris Lynn and Jimmy Neesham, who will miss out the eighth edition of IPL due to injuries. Both Mahmood and Botha have prior experience of playing in IPL for King XI Punjub and Rajasthan Royals receptively.

The eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will take off when defending champion KKR and Mumbai Indians lock their horns at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 8. A total of 60 matches, including the four playoffs, will be played over a period of 47 days. The MCA International Stadium at Pune will host three home games of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) , whilst the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Stadium at Visakhapatnam will host three home games of Sunrisers Hyderabad. After a hiatus in 2014, the Shahid Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium at Raipur will once again stage two home games of Delhi Daredevils. Rajasthan Royals will play their home games at the Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad, and another venue that will be confirmed shortly. The Pepsi IPL 2015 final will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
