Live Cricket Score Bangladesh vs Pakistan, Asia Cup final: Bangladesh need 237 to win in 50 overs

Pakistan reach 236 for nine against Bangladesh in their Asia 2012 final at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday.

 

Mohammad Hafeez top scored for the visitors with a gritty 40. Shahid Afridi (32), Umar Akmal (30) and Hammad Azam (30) batted to help Pakistan to a respectable score.

 

The visitors, after put into the bat got off to a shaky start, losing four wickets for 70 runs. Bangladesh pacer Mashrafe Mortaza and Nazmul Hossain did most of the damage.

 

Akmal and Azam, then put on 59 runs for the fifth wicket as they help steady the ship.

 

But soon Azam and Akmal departed in the space of four runs to have Pakistan reeling at 133 for six.

 

Afridi and Sarfraz Nawaz stitched a 45 runs partnership for the seventh wicket to resurrect the Pakistan innings.

 

The partnership came to an end when Afridi was caught Shakib for 32.

 

From there on the Bangladesh bowlers kept chipping wickets at regular intervals as the Pakistan folded for a modest total.
