Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog post of the second of the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. We will bring to you the live cricket scores and updates from the match. The second ODI will also be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. The first ODI went in favour of Bangladesh, where they thrashed Sri Lanka by 90 runs. This was also Bangladesh’s second ever win against Sri Lanka in their own backyard. This is a do-or-die match for the home side, with only one game remaining after this. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI at Dambulla

Bangladesh displayed all-around cricket in the first Test as all the departments clicked in unison during their routing of Sri Lanka. Tamim Iqbal, Sabbir Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan gelled well together guiding the Bangla Tigers to a mammoth score of 324. Sri Lanka on the other hand, looked sloppy in the middle and did not show much heart. The bowling was a major let down, as none of their spinner could make any impact. Fielding was also a letdown with many errors being scored off.

Bangladesh, in their bowling, were on the money from the word go, with Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehedi Hasan making the life tough for the Sri Lankan top order. Interestingly, Mehedi was specially called in for the ODI series after he was sent home post the Test series. BCB President made a call to the chief selectors and asked him to rope in Mehedi right away.

Sri Lanka have now lost two of their previous matches against Bangladesh and they will be up for criticism if their performances do not improve. Sri Lanka had lost in the final Test before the first ODI. The hosts will be under pressure right from the first ball as Bangladesh know their ways around these lanes, that is, playing limited-overs cricket in the Indian subcontinent.
