Hooda will have to stick to the crease and help Vihary out. India Red need to adopt attacking mindset.

Good Afternoon, नमस्कार! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of the second day of the Duleep Trophy 2017-18 tie between India Red and India Blue at Green Park in Kanpur. We will be bringing to you the live updates from this tie. India Red continued from where it all ended as this time it was Baba Indrajith’s gutsy knock of 120 that ended their day at 291 for 9. India Red could add some respectable score on board courtesy Indrajith’s knock after being left in shambles by the India Blue bowlers earlier. Indrajith faced 181 balls, hitting 12 boundaries and two sixes but more praiseworthy was his 86-run partnership for the final wicket with No. 11 Vijay Gohil who is batting on 22.

Indrajith and Gohil batted together for 18 overs with the Mumbai spinner facing 35 balls, hitting four boundaries in the process. Right-arm pacer Ankit Rajpoot and left-arm seamer Jaydev Unadkat were the main wicket-takers for India Blue as they shared 5 wickets between them.

Part-timers Manoj Tiwary and skipper Suresh Raina also got a wicket apiece. Priyank Panchal, who slammed 2 centuries in the tournament opener, tried to find some momentum but was dismissed for 36 while fellow opener Sudip Chatterjee struck 34. The openers added 70 before there was a collapse and Indrajith had to fight a lone battle.
