Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog of the first T20I tie between India and Australia. The match will be held at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on Saturday. I am Suvajit Mustafi, and will be bringing all the live updates from this tie. India will be eager to continue their good form and bag the T20I series as well. Australia, on the other hand, will want to undo all wrongs from the ODIs series and make amends. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: India vs Australia 2017, 1st T20I at Ranchi

Out of 13 T20Is, India have emerged on top of Australia on 9 occasions. At home, India are yet to lose a T20I versus David Warner’s side. The last T20I between India and Australia, played in India, was during the WT20I 2016 in Mohali wherein India defeated Australia by 6 wickets.

Before this series, India had beaten Sri Lanka, while Australia’s last T20 assignment was also against the same side; they lost 1-2 at home.

Australia were seen practising against spin-bowling during net session, while India were denied any because of rains. Australia are likely to hand Jason Behrendorff a T20I debut, while India would gladly welcome Ashish Nehra back to the team. Steven Smith’s ouster due to injury will be Marcus Stoinis’ gain; the all-rounder will replaces him.
