England reached a score of 61 runs for the loss of two wickets at Nagpur against India as Ishant Sharma removed both openers before Lunch on Thursday.
Nick Compton was the first wicket to fall as he was caught behind off the bowling of Ishant Sharma. In-form skipper Alastair Cook was dismissed next, leg before wicket – Ishant’s second scalp of the day.
Earlier, winning the toss, Cook elected to bat first. India made two changes in the team with Piyush Chawla replacing Zaheesr Khan and Ravindra Jadeja, making his Test debut, replacing Yuvraj Singh in the middle-order. England made one change with Joe Root making his Test debut on Thursday.
