South Africa will be pressing ahrd for a victory while the Indian batsmen will be happy to play out the day at their own leisure pace to save the second Test at Durban on Monday. In what has been a tough competition between the two teams, the match will also mark the end of a great career in Tests — Jacques Kallis.
On Day Four, after South Africa were bowled out for 500, the Proteas pacers tested the Indian openers with a series of short balls. After Murali Vijay’s dismissal South African pacers looked threatening to run away with the game. But Cheteshwar Pujara and Shikhar Dhawan defied the aggression and blunted the pacers. Towards the end of the day, a brilliant catch by Faf du Plessis helped South Africa take control and put more pressure.
