It’s over. The low target proved beneficial for Oman. Vaibhav Watgaonkar stood tall after Jatinder Singh and Aqib Ilyas’ fall. Oman beat Nepal by 6 wickets and 89 balls to spare. They, in turn, open their account in the tournament.

  • 6:58 PM IST

Oman just 24 away from win. They have dominated Nepal in all departments.

  • 6:40 PM IST

Khawar Ali has now gone back to the pavillion. Sandeep Lamichhane strikes. Is there a twist in the tale? Nepal need 6 wickets, Oman 42 runs.

  • 6:33 PM IST

At halfway stage, Oman require 50 with 7 wickets in hand. Should be a cakewalk.

  • 6:29 PM IST

Ilyas falls short of a deserving half-century. Nonetheless, Oman should get there. Only 55 required in 26.3 overs.

  • 6:16 PM IST

Ilyas is taking the innings forward single-handedly. Oman now 68 away from victory. Only a flurry of wickets can bring back Nepal in the contest.

  • 6:00 PM IST

Ilyas has taken on the opposition attack. Oman only 73 away from victory. With 8 wickets still in hand, they are firm favourites. But then, cricket is a funny game! lol…

  • 5:37 PM IST

Sandeep Lamichhane cannot be kept away from action. Yesterday, he came and removed Namibia’s lower order quickly, and today has got rid of set batsman, Jatinder Singh (24). Oman 37/2.

  • 5:24 PM IST

Jatinder Singh and Aqib Ilyas have struck a small partnership in quick time. They seem to be confident in the middle. Oman only 110 away from win after 8 overs.
