Good Evening! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of the Match 2o of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017, between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Sunday. We at Cricket Country will be bringing to you the live updates from this fixture for the evening. After 20 league matches, the tournament is approaching the business end. Defending champions United are at an advantage as they are ahead in the points table with 8 points while Kings are below them with 6 points. This game will decide the fate of Kings.

Kings, who faced three consecutive losses, bounced back defeating United and Peshawar Zalmi to stay in the competition. A defeat here, however, won’t keep Kings completely out of the tournament unless they manage to save their net run rate from that of Qalandars. Shoaib Malik and Usama Mir have been the top names in scoring runs for the Kings. Malik has emerged well after his run drought in the previous games. Mir, meanwhile, has always played a crucial knock in every game. Apart from these batsmen, Babar Azam and captain Kumar Sangakkara can also be handy. But they will need their captain to step-in in precarious conditions. PSL 2017: Points table & team standings

For this crucial game, Kings might want to bring Chris Gayle back into action. Amongst the bowlers, Sohail Khan has already got 12 wickets off 6 matches.

But United cannot be underestimated. Coming from a thrilling victory against Gladiators, they can easily sweep Kings. Dwayne Smith, Shane Watson and captain Misbah-ul-Haq have chipped in with runs. At the same time, the pace attack has been taken care of by Mohammad Sami, Watson and Rumman Raees.

While this game is important for Kings, United will look to strengthen their hold at the top and better their chances in this final league match.
