I am Pramod Ananth, and I will be bringing to you the live updates from this tie for the evening. Both the teams are having a quite opposite fourtunes in this tournament so far. Zalmi are currently placed in the third spot of the table with five points from five games, while Kings are placed in the bottom place with two points from four games. Kings won their last game against Islamabad United by D/L method. United made 90 runs in their 13 overs, while Kings were 75 for 4 in 9.4 overs, when rain interrupted play. Babar Azam was the man of the match for his knock of 47 off 30. Azam was quoted as, ” I just wanted to play positively and the coach just asked me to play my natural game. I would like to congratulate the team for this win. I needed to change my game for T20s but there isn’t much pressure. I would like to bat wherever the team management wants me to.”
Zalmi, on the other hand, lost their game against United. Zalmi posted just 136 runs in 20 overs, coutrsey Wahab Riaz’s late charge. United, in reply, got to their target with 5 wickets in hand. It was Dwayne Smith who starred with the bat for United making 72 runs.
This is crucial stage for both sides as PSL is reaching its business stage.
