Karnataka will look to extend their lead past 200 when they resume at 474 for seven against Maharashtra in the final of the Ranji Trophy 2013-14 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Maintaining that his side has batting depth till down the order, senior Karnataka batsman Robin Uthappa said that they would be eyeing for a 250-run first innings lead over Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy final match, PTI reported.
“Personally, I think we are in a strong position because the wicket is getting slower and slower. If we can get about 200-250 runs, that will put us in a commanding situation in the match,” he told reporters after the end of the third day’s play.
At stumps, Karnataka were 474 for seven in reply to Maharashtra’s first innings 305, already taking a lead of 169 runs.
