Sri Lanka will aim to make amends and secure a series win against a confident Bangladesh side in the second and final Test match, which begins on Saturday at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and elected to field against Bangladesh.

In the opening Test match at Galle, a spirited Bangladesh side manage to force a draw as they played out a dull last session against Sri Lanka.

Chasing a target of 267 runs in the last session, Bangladesh were 70 for the loss of one wicket when captains from both teams agreed to conclude the match since a result was not possible with a handful of overs remaining on the fifth day.

Post Tea, Shaminda Eranga infliceted early damage on the Bangladesh batting by dismissing Anamul Haque for one run. The batsman presented a faint defence to an incoming delivery as the pace of the ball disturbed the stumps.
