After a disappointing performance in the first ODI against visitors Pakistan, Sri Lanka will look to come out with a positive intent in the second ODI at Pallakele after winning the toss and deciding to bat first.
Sri Lankan batting crumbled like a pack of cards as Umar Gul turned out to be the wrecker-in-chief early in the innings. On the other hand, for Pakistan, winning this ODI will affirm their chances of clinching the series.
While, bowling department looks good for Sri Lanka, Jayawardene will hope that his batsmen rise to the occassion to avoid a 2-0 scenario in the five match series. Sri Lanka have retained the same side while Pakistan have opted for Azhar Ali in place of Mohammad Sami down with a thumb injury.
