Sri Lanka and South Africa are contesting in the final Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo. Sri Lanka are 0-1 down in the series, but in this Test match, they are in command and it is South Africa who are battling to save it. Chasing over 369 to win, South Africa are already 38 for one at the end of Day Four and are on the backfoot.

Sri Lanka have put up this score thanks to some great batting in the first innings from Mahela Jayawardene. Though Hashim Amla scored a ton, the Sri Lankan spinners were all over the tourists. Out of the ten wickets to fall in the first innings, nine were taken by the spinners. Heading into the final day, it would be spin in focus for England.

(Upul Tharanga 30, Kumar Sangakkara 72, Angelo Mathews 63*; Morne Morkel 4 for 45, Dale Steyn 2 for 59) lead South Africa 282 (Faf du Plessis 36, Hashim Amla 139*, AB de Villiers 37; Dilruwan Perera 5 for 69, Rangana Herath 4 for 71) & 38 for 1 (Quinton de Kock 21; Rangana Herath 1 for 7) by 331 runs.
