West Indies will take on New Zealand in the first Test of the series at Kingston, Jamaica. West Indies will look to exact sweet revenge for their poor performance in New Zealand during the early part of the year. New Zealand though, have a balanced look to their side. They have key pacers like Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Neil Wagner and company in their ranks. They also have a fine middle-order consisting of rock-solid batsmen like Kane Williamson, Brendon McCullum the captain and Ross Taylor.Check out the Live Scorecard of the West Indies vs New Zealand 1st Test here

On the other hand, West Indies will look to usher in a new era under the leadership of Denesh Ramdin, the wicketkeeper batsman. He has taken over from the just retired, Darren Sammy. Windies will depend on Darren Bravo in the batting line-up to shore up the middle-order. They have a decent pace attack what with the return of Jerome Taylor and Kemar Roach coming back into the squad. Catch the live blog here.

It will also mark Chris Gayle’s 100th Test match for his country. A proud achievement for the giant from Jamaica. To make it even better he is playing at home. It should be an interesting series between two countries who will look to win and show that they are moving in the right direction.
