Good Morning, शुभ प्रभात! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of Day Four of Round Six of the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy on Monday. We at Cricket Country will be bringing to you the live updates from today’s matches. It has been an eventful three days of cricket in this round, while few of the matches haven’t turned as per expectations. Few have produced tight contests, out of which some have already produced results. As for now, the Day Four is all set to cause more hard-fought draws and few victories.

Recap

Bengal, Delhi and Services won their respective clashes versus Punjab, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Interestingly, all three sides earned an innings win, and picked up bonus points.

What to expect

While Assam are starring on the brink of defeat, Madhya Pradesh need to be calculative in their approach. They lead Tamil Nadu by 80 runs with 9 wickets in hand. While they will like to be aggressive, it will require proper execution, and not going overboard. Vidarbha and Baroda will continue to dominate Odisha and Goa respectively. The two evenly-poised encounters are Jammu and Kashmir versus Haryana, and Kerala defending 375 (more) runs against Saurashtra. In addition, Mumbai an also wreck havoc if their bowlers come on top of Andhra.

Points Table

Delhi and Karnataka dominate Group A. In Group B, Saurashtra and Gujarat are well placed; Andhra and Madhya Pradesh dictate terms in Group C. Lastly, Group D is led by Vidarbha and Bengal are second after their victory over Punjab.
