Hello and welcome to the live blog of Day One of 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, Round 7. Only three teams have reached the quarter-finals: Karnataka, Delhi, and Vidarbha. Given this will be the last round, the teams will give their all to notch up the all-important points.

Karnataka and Delhi, from Group A, are through with 26 and 24 points respectively. Karnataka will remain atop if they bag another win. However, if they end up in a draw and Delhi emerge victorious in their contest, the latter will move to the No. 1 position.

Kerala are at No. 2 in Group B with 24 points, and there still are chances of them being knocked out: they lose, or Saurashtra either win or take a lead.

In Group C, Mumbai have to win. They, however, are lucky that they face the lowly Tripura at such juncture. If Mumbai take first-innings lead in draw, Odisha will have to register an outright win against Madhya Pradesh.

In Group D, Bengal will be through even if they manage a first-innings lead. Having said that, they will storm out if they either lose or give a lead to Goa.

Himachal will make it to the top 8 if they thrash Vidarbha with a bonus point.
