After made to bat first, none of the West Indies batsman except for Darren Bravo and Danza Hyatt looked to provide resistance against the Indian bowlers.

Bravo and Hyatt conjured together to put up a 75-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
The duo looked set to propel the visitors to a bigger score, but the momentum shifted towards the host with the unfortunate run-out of Hyatt (31). By then, the Caribbean team had reached 127 for four.
